The Gitzo GT2543L is a good choice when you want to keep it light but still have the strength and stability to get some steady shots with a mid length lens. Let's face it - we all want the stability of a Gitzo Series 5 but in reality we have to make a compromise if we are going to be carrying gear a reasonable distance. The GT2543L is that compromise.
GT2543L is a long 4-section, Series 2 tripod designed to reach eye-level when fully extended. Sturdy and perfectly balanced, the GT2543L is recommended for DSLRs with 200mm lenses (up to a maximum of 300mm). Features Carbon eXact tubes and larger tube diameters for significant improvements in stiffness. Top leg section diameter: 29.0mm.
