Aluminum tripods (Series 5 excluded) have been completely redesigned and upgraded to the same features of 6X carbon fiber models. Aluminum Systematic are now faster, lighter and more stable. A key innovation is the use of Gitzo latest aluminum tube1.2mm wall thick, 30% lighter than its predecessor, with Anti Leg Rotation system (ALR) and brushed matt black finish for improved locking performance and minimised reflectivity. Thanks to ALR, Aluminum Systematic tripods are now as fast to operate as the 6X carbon fiber versions. Apart from the tubing, aluminum and Carbon Fiber systematic tripods now share the same features: G-Lock, removable self locking feet, three leg spreads and new upper platforms. These new platforms allow for a more solid connection of the head and reduced vibrations thanks to the safe lock techno polymer disc and a locking screw for the head. This locking screw is fixed for series 3, while for series 4 and 5 it can be set at different diameters accordingly to head size. The new upper platforms come with a new sand bag hook for ad- ditional stability and convenience. Systematic tripods are available in a wider selection of heights: compact and standard height for reduced weight and increased transportability, eye level height for comfort and precise control, over head height for extra flexibility in the studio or at weddings, concerts and sport events. Series 5 aluminum systematic tripods feature the traditional Gitzo locking system with no ALR and the heavy duty 1.6mm tube. Their legendary stability and rock solid weight make them the ideal support for studios. Carbon 6X and the new aluminum Systematic tripods come with a smart Gitzo display cleaner and a convenient anti dust bag for storage and packing.

		New top platforms guarantee a more solid connection of the head and reduced vibrations thanks to the Gitzo safe lock techno polymer disc and a locking screw for the head. These platforms include an aluminum sand bag hook for additional stability and convenience.	Any Systematic tripod can be quickly transformed into a professional video support by means of 75mm and 100mm half ball adapters. The new adapters feature the Gitzo unique PTFE treatment for an ultra smooth and fluid operation.
		A wide range of large diameter rapid or geared center columns are available. Generous diameters maintain system stability at any height. All the columns are now longer and feature new components (Power Disc with head locking screws and retractible hooks).	A high performance leveling base is also available providing a 15° tilt movement. This accessory feature a wide attachment plate and a large half ball PTFE treated for an ultra smooth and fluid operation. Ideal for leveling flat-base fluid head, it can also be used as a heavy duty head for medium format camera.
